I always feel the need to bring this up because it seems to me most people don't understand that plastic is made out of gasoline. Moving more towards biochemical materials is a step in the right direction for our environment.
There are ways to synthesize plastic-ish materials out of natural fabrics, but there is absolutely no financial impetus to do so since the fuckers running big oil will be dead long before we all run out.
right, petroleum-based products. Yes plastic is a petroleum-based product. Gas or petroleum has peaked. So we should make more synthetic junk out of any other natural things we find! It makes perfect sense to me! You are so right! Definitely heading in the right direction! Why didn't I think of that before!?! It's so simple! ;-/
